We heard in the middle of the night that they got a donor liver last night and were taking Mackenzie into surgery now at 2 am. Surgery will be 6-8 hours.
Mackenzie came out of surgery about 8 am. Everything with the transplant went well. She will be in the PICU for at least the next week. Her jaundice should get better in a few days. We need to be praying that Mackenzies body will accept this new liver as her own. Pray for Mat and Sarah as they start to adjust to the “new normal.”
