May is our month to pick strawberries. The whole family got involved this year and we headed to Surry for our picking. We enjoyed lots of fresh strawberry ice cream, smoothies, & I even experiemented w/leather chew (homemade fruit roll ups!)

| We were disappointed this year that our local strawberry farm, 5 min. from our house, closed down but thankfully we still have a strawberry farm about 45 minutes away. We have to take a ferry ride to reach the farm & the kids enjoy feeding the seagulls or atleast the boys did. Becca did not like the birds at all & kept telling them to go away. She told Daddy to protect Becca! |

| We picked WAY to much this year! The kids all enjoyed picking & each needed their own bucket to pick into. Becca is of course covered in strawberries, Ryan ate a few, but Nolan was a great help again this year. |
