June update...

It's July and I'm finally catching up the blog for the last two months. Between babysitting during the school year, my own children, and we just completed (as assistant director) our first ever VBS for our church life has been busy!
The last week of school Scott and Nolan had spirit week. Nolan asked for a mohawk and I figured he needed a haircut anyway so why not. I was not expecting this as the result when he came out of the bathroom w/his Daddy! After crazy hair day was twin day.
Ryan finished up his 1st year of preschool with a class party that I was able to attend. He recieved a certificate and a bucket of goodies for the summer. He did really well in school this year and his teacher said is ready for kindergarden even though he has one more year of preschool.

The weekend school let out I took the kids to see the Lemn's for just a day. We hadn't seen the girls since they got back from Disney nor had the kids been able to swim in Grandmommy & DeDe's pool. It was a quick trip but I was glad the kids had a chance to catch up. Uncle Scotty & Aunt Rachel were in town also so we were able to see everyone. The boys also got their dog fix by being able to play with Buster.

Nolan went straight from tball to our neighborhood swim team. He swam two years ago but we took last year off from the swim team. He wasn't too sure about swimming again this year but after the first meet he is really liking it. He placed 2nd in his heat for the first meet & this is the picture of how excited he was after realizing he could do so well. He also swims backstroke & last meet he moved up an age group & swam the breaststroke. Swim team has been benenfical for Nolan b/c he's meeting lots of neighborhood kids & has friends to play with when at the pool.
Somewhere there is a picture of Uncle Scotty looking just like this. Ryan had tubes put in his ears at the end of May. He did so well at the surgery & we have seen a big change in his hearing. The nurse's were so funny when they brought Ryan back to me after his surgery. They said normally kids wake up crying for their parents but Ryan woke up w/no tears but asking where his Ipad was (Grandmommy was is town & we borrowed her tablet) & why his cartoon wasn't still on!! The biggest change for this summer will be Ryan needing to wear ear plugs which unfortantely won't stay in so that's the reason for the swim cap.
Summer is in full swing. The boys got to have their first sleep over. Our good friends the Hayes let Malia & Andrew spend the night. I don't think Mommy is ready for sleepovers yet! The kids were in their rooms laughing & giggling till Scott made them turn lights out around 11. The Hayes kids actually sleep in though while our boys were up at their normal 6:30!
